How to make a custom storage tray

This not only lowers your productivity but also increases the risk of losing or misplacing important components. Off-the-shelf storage boxes often don’t match the exact size of your tools. Thanks to our vacuum forming machines, you can easily create a custom parts tray, improving your organisation and workspace efficiency.

Materials
Instructions
- Design your tray based on your frequently used parts (like motors, screws, PCBs). You can use the STL file linked above as an example.
- If you want, you can also design a lid for your tray to protect the parts from dust or damage. You can then vacuum form the lid from transparant PET later.
- Place your mould into the vacuum forming machine, select the appropriate sheet thickness and material, and start forming. We used a 1 mm HIPS sheet for the tray in our video.
- Trim the edges and test the tray with your actual parts to ensure everything fits perfectly.
